For over 40 years the Vermont State Athletic Directors Association (VSADA) has supported, and been dedicated to, improving the quality of secondary school athletic programs in Vermont.
The VSADA is the state professional organization for all high school and middle school athletic directors in Vermont. The organization provides services and opportunities for professional development and networking amongst it members. Each year in March we sponsor a state conference for our members as well as a Student-Athlete Leadership Conference. We offer Leadership Training Courses during the year and at the state conference. The VSADA works closely with the Vermont Principal's Association (VPA) to establish guidelines and policies for the state's athletic programs. Additionally, the VSADA conducts professional development programs for athletic directors, and coaches. The goals of the association are to assist and cooperate with the Vermont Principals’ Association (VPA); improve athletic understanding and relationships throughout the high schools within the state of Vermont; foster a high standard of achievement, professional proficiency and ethics; develop greater unity, uniformity and fellowship among all members; improve the articulation of interscholastic athletics in the total educational program; present an opportunity for an exchanging of ideas on mutual problems and practices; recognize that the administrative head of the school is held ultimately responsible in all matters pertaining to interscholastic athletic activities involved in his/her school; promote athletic interest of students among school systems. |
